The Board of Directors (BOD) has been preparing for the succession process since 2015. In adopting the new Constitution, in 2014, we established a corporate process to facilitate the search process. Unlike other Regions, where an interim executive minister is brought in to “stay the course” while a new Executive Minister is found, the BOD set in place a procedure and a timeline that allows us to meet with those we serve and determine the capacities, capabilities and attributes of the person to lead our Region for the coming years.
